Year 6/7 Ukelele Players

At assembly on the last day of term the Year 6/7 ukelele and guitar players gave an item.
'Fish and Chips and Vinegar' is one of our favourite assembly songs.
We all usually sing it as a 3-way round. We think the group did a good job.

What instrument do you play?
What would you like to learn to play?

  1. Dear B4,

Love the ukulele number! It is a great sounding instrument and everyone really gave it their all!

I was wondering, could you post the lyrics so we could sing along here in California?

I play the piano. Unfortunately, I only took for about five years when I was young, but I still play today! You are not going to believe this, but I am going to buy a set of drums and learn how to play them!

    :-)

Thanks for leaving a comment on our avatar post!

  3. Dear B4,

How did you get so well at playing those instruments. It is amazing how you guys make it look so easy with it.

I know the exact same song and we sing it at our school just the same way you guys did it.

I've changed my dream to become one of you except with a piano.

I have a question for you. What does the ukelele sound like just by it's self.

    Hope you reach me soon.

    sincerely,
    Tyler in Mr. Salsich's Class

    Hi Tyler
I'm so glad you like the ukelele playing. I think it is amazing that your school knows that song too.
The children in the video are not from B4, we filmed the Year 6/7 children at assembly one day. Ben from B4 has started learning to play as well, but he wasn't ready to play with the group yet. (Ben is away today otherwise I would have asked him to write back to you).

A ukelele has a higher sound then a guitar, and it only has 4 strings. They are a great instrument for children to learn to play.

I think your dream to be a piano player is great. How long have you been learning to play the piano?
