The Lucky Dip

Last week when the Orange group read 'The Lucky Dip' they had their own lucky dip!
They were excited to find out what was in the parcels.
Now they have their own story, made with youblisher.com

The Lucky Dip

Have you ever had a lucky dip?
Were you excited?
What did you get?

  1. Dear Mrs. McKenzie and the orange group,

I ♥ this post with the book from youpublisher.com! Thanks for introducing it to me! I don't think I've ever had a lucky dip...is it something you buy at the store?

  4. Dear Mrs Yollis
Lucky dips are always a fun surprise.
Sometimes shops have a basket of lucky dips. They cost a small amount, maybe $2.
Sometimes you might be able to buy a lucky dip at a fundraising day like a gala or fair.
Often they are labelled as suitable for a boy or a girl, or maybe labelled with an age group.

No, I haven't joined Twitter, but I did check out the Twitter page today.

Did you read the book with the sound level turned up? I really like the sound of the page turning as the story is read!

  5. Dear Mrs. Mrs M♔Kenzie,

Yes, I did have the sound on and I think the site is great! It doesn't have a lot of links to FaceBook or Twitter, which I do not want on every project. Do you see any limitations having used it?

I was reluctant to join Twitter...more than reluctant. Kathleen McGeady convinced me to try it, and I think it is one of the best learning tool ever! The links and resources I have gained through Twitter are incredible!

Try it for a while...if you don't like it...don't go back.

My name is @lindayollis is you decide to try.

    Your pal,
    Mrs. Y♥llis

P.S. Love all the html you're using! :-)

I am very old, so I haven't done a luck dip for a while, although I did see one at the local school when they had a fair and we went there.

  11. Hi Mrs McKenzie and B4,
I think your story `The Lucky dip' is fantastic! It made me think about a holiday I went on when I was much younger. My Mum and Dad took me to a beautiful shell shop and I got to choose a lucky dip from a basket. All of the parcels were wrapped in pink tissue paper and I was so excited to find a beautiful cowrie shell inside. I still have it today! I wonder what your favourite lucky dip prizes are?
