More Changes in B4

We say goodbye to Mrs Wistrand for awhile, as she is on maternity leave, and a big WELCOME to Miss Robinson who will be teaching in B4 at the times that I am taking Reading Recovery.
Miss Robinson is finishing her teacher training this term and I am sure she will enjoy working with the great kids in B4.

Because of a rise of numbers in the Year 0/1 class we also have Paige, Tyla, Nathan and Matthew moving into B4, and we are saying goodbye to Myah, Krystal, Adam and Tessa who will be in B3.
Now we have Year 1, 2 and 3 children in B4 and the ages range from 5-8 years old.

We are looking forward to a fun and busy term!

  3. Dear Mrs McKenzie and B4,
Schools are busy places aren't they! There are 500 students at our school and it seems that teachers are coming and going during the year as they take leave for different reasons. It's good that most things stay the same though. We love all the contacts that you have made on your blog. Next year it is our goal to have some blogging friends. Our Principal, Mr Creece, is planning to purchase a bank of netbook computers especially for our Gr 3/4 students to use. Thanks for commenting on our blog. Are you doing a Commonwealth Games at your school?

    Dear Mrs Lynch and MLY
Thanks for your comment and we regard you as one of our good blogging friends!
I'm finding that as our class changes and gets younger it takes more encouragement for them to interact with other blogs. Luckily we still have some of the original class from the start of the year and I am able to rely on them a bit more. However I think children really become interested once they are 7-8 years old.
Commenting on the blog is one of our reading time activities, and one of the goals is for the children to add more to their comments.
How many netbooks are you hoping to get? Do you have any computers in your class permanently? We have 5 (desktops and laptops) and they are always in use.
And no, with a lot of other things happening, we are not doing a particular focus on the Commonwealth Games this time.

    your friends
