What have been your favourite posts and pages of our blog?
How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
Dear B-4,
ReplyDelete♛ ♛ ♛ Happy, Happy Birthday! ♛ ♛ ♛
How fun to have a one year birthday! It was interesting to look at your old ClustrMap and compare it to the new one. Wow! Lots of dots!
We really enjoyed Skyping with your class last year. It was interesting to hear about the rural town you live in. Your pets day posts were also quite interesting for us. We wish we could have a pets day here.
Have a great day!
Mrs. Y♥llis and class
Happy Birthday B4!
ReplyDeleteTurning one is such a big step. It's amazing how much a blog can grow in just a year. I'm sure you wouldn't have though just a year ago that you'd be Quad Blogging!
I'm so excited to see what the next year will bring for your blog. Congratulations!

Dear B4,
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I have been following your blog from the very beginning, and it has been a great year. I feel very lucky to have you as blogging buddies.
Yesterday we got a postcard from you as part of the postcard project. The students were very interested to learn that people do gold mining in Reefton.
We will be sending out our postcards after our break next week.
I can't wait to see what exciting learning the next year will bring!
From,
Mr. Salsich
Hi B4 and a Happy Blogging Birthday to you all!I love visiting your blog and the new K/1D children in my class have enjoyed hearing about your adventures! Just like Mr Salisch's kids, they were very excited to receive your postcard (the Kindergarten children would like to know if you could send us some gold?). We are working on ours and will send them out soon! I hope we get to share some blogging adventures together this year.

Dear B4!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Your blog has come a long way this year and I can't wait to spend this year blogging with you all.
That is interesting that Mr Salsich got his postcard from you yesterday as we got ours the day before. It didn't take long for the postcard to get all the way to the USA!
We are writing some postcards tomorrow.
2KM and 2KJ have been wondering. Why are you called B4? They were wondering if there is a B1, B2.... and is there A1, A2, A3 etc as well?
Your blogging buddy,
Mrs Morris :)
Dear Mrs Yollis, Mr Avery, Mr Salsich, Ms Dowling, Mrs Morris and your classes
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the blog birthday wishes. It felt like a very special day.
2Km and 2KJ wondered why we are called B4.
In 2004 two schools (Reefton Primary and Inangahua College) merged to become Reefton Area School.
The new school used the Inangahua College site, and an old block of rooms was renovated and revamped to become the primary block. Because there were other classrooms on the site already called Room 1, Room 2 etc. our new block became known as the B block.
We do indeed have classes called B2, B3, B4 and B5. There is no B1!
K/1D wondered if we can send some gold!
We don't actually get to see the gold because the rocks get sent away on a train and the gold is removed somewhere else. Some people do like to go gold-panning in the rivers though, and are sometimes lucky enough to find some specks.
It is exciting to hear that the postcards are arriving in lots of different countries!

Dear B4 and your wonderful Teachers,
ReplyDeleteI am writing from Melbourne Australia to wish you a very Happy First Birthday for your Blog. You have achieved such a lot in your first year and I am very impressed with the connections you have made with other classes throughout the World. I also like the variety of Web tools you have used to make your posts so interesting.
Congratulations and I hope that the Birthday cake was delicious,
Best Regards,
Yvonne Osborn, Visual Arts Specialist Teacher,
Taylors Lakes Primary School, Melbourne Australia.
Happy Birthday! What a long way you have come in a year and what a lot you have learned and shared.
ReplyDeleteWe were very excited to get our first postcard in the postcard project from you on Wednesday; we loved the picture of the white kiwi and learning that you have goldmines; some of us didn't realise that's where gold comes from so it was new learning for us!
Looking forward to watching your blogging skills continuing to grow in year two.

Happy Birthday! I can't believe your blog is only a year old. You've have posted so many wonderful posts I thought for sure your blog was much older. Our class favorite is the voicethread about where you live.
ReplyDeleteDo you know that February 17th is also special day for me? That's right, it's MY birthday too! My children made me a special peanut butter sandwich with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday.

I am new to your site, but I was looking around to see if I could find a blog that a classroom had created and was actively working on. I came across your site and was truely amazed. You have done a terrific job. I like how you are interacting with other classes, keeping up with current events, and even getting in some celebrating. I am going to keep an eye on what your classroom is working on from time to time. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday B4s blog.
