Some topics really capture our imaginations.

We've been talking about making huts.

We had lots of stories to tell about huts in trees; huts made with sticks; and even an imaginative candy hut!

Our First Math Videos

One of our maths groups is learning how to 

add tens to a 2-digit number.

Feeding the Calves

We are a rural town and many of the B4 children live on farms or have experienced farm life.

Spring is in the air and calves are arriving. 

Calving is a busy time for families and 
many of the children help out. 
Feeding the calves has been a hot topic in class, and we hope you enjoy our stories.

In PE we've been practicing our ball passing and catching skills.

Pacific Flowers

Every couple of years we enjoy doing an art unit with Mrs Wistrand about Pacific Patterns.

In the past we've looked at Pacific Shells and 
these Pacific Patterns.

This year we've made Pacific Flowers by covering our paper with dye then drawing the flowers using cotton buds and bleach.

Our Kite Poems

Our kite poems are modeled on a page of a book called 
'The Adventures of a Kite', written by the late

 Margaret Mahy.

We noticed Margaret Mahy used some features such as alliteration and onomatopoeia.
