(Welcome to Reefton Area School)

July 23 to July 29 2012 marks Maori Language Week in
New Zealand.
In our school we have a 'Phrase of the Fortnight'
which we display in our rooms and practice saying and using.
We'd like to share some of our phrases with you.
Maori Language week from Judy McKenzie on Vimeo.
Do you have a phrase to share with us, in Maori or in another language?

  2. Dear Mrs McKenzie and B4

We are learning about Maori language week as well. We have also learnt that the theme for this year’s Maori language week is ‘Arohatia Te Reo’ which means cherish the language.

Last Friday at assembly, the whole school got taught a Maori song by two of our school leaders. Your video is very cool. I hope that you learn a lot more this week about Te Reo Maori and the language.

Perhaps you could check out SpongeBob Squarepants in Maori every week day. Please visit our blog too. http://www.room24tis.blogspot.co.nz/
