A litre is a litre is a litre!

Today we were intrigued to find that all the containers in this picture hold a litre!
How can that be?

These next two containers have the same volume as each other. Together, they fill a litre container.
How much do each of these containers hold?

  1. Good Morning Mrs. McKenzie and B4,

We are glad to be back at school. It was really nice to get a message from you!

We think it is cool that even though we live really far away we still learn the same things at school. We wish that you could come to our school for a day and we could go to your school for a day. That would be a really big field trip!

Flat Canada is a project we are going to do in social studies to learn about Canada. Have you read the book Flat Stanley? We are making Flat Stanleys and sending them to the different provinces and territories in Canada. Here is a link to our wiki http://flatcanada.wikispaces.com/

This year we have 48 students in our school and 16 kids in our class.

We are wondering what you have been studying about the last two months?

We hope to talk to you soon,
    Mrs. W and the 2/3's

Dear Mrs Watson and the 2/3s
This term our topic with Mrs Wistrand was 'Children of Asia and the Pacific'. After some introductory activities each child set their own inquiry question to find out about.
We used the library and the internet to answer our questions.
Some children had questions about Australia so Mrs W from Harston was very kind and made some little Powerpoints to help us.

The Flat Stanley project sounds great. We don't think we have 'Flat Stanley ' in our school library. Mrs McKenzie will have to look in the town library.

Everyone thought that a trip to Canada would be fun, but some people thought they might get homesick.
