Children Teaching Parents

We had a great turn-out of family members for our
We borrowed computers from three other classes so there were plenty to go around.

The children were keen to show their parents
how to make Vokis but by the time
we had those done we didn't leave much time to learn about writing comments!

We had a wonderful afternoon with the children being the leaders and the parents being the learners.
Family members - we hope you will introduce yourselves and say hello!

  1. What a great idea getting the parents in to do some blogging. We have just been away on camp and posted a blog every night so the parents could see what was going on. Not that many parents commented. Maybe if we do what you have done we will get more replies. Thanks Kereru Class Pukekawa Franklin

  2. Dear Mrs. McKenzie and class,

What a terrific turn out you got! Wow! I love it when parents take a real interest and get involved. It makes all the difference!

I am a third grade teacher in the United States. We live in a suburb of Los Angeles, but through blogging, we have flattened the walls of our classroom and regularly work and learn from students and teachers all over the world.

I look forward to reading about the parents in your classroom!

    Great post!
